Purpose The mining flameproof and intrinsically safe vacuum electromagnetic starter is suitable for use in underground coal mines with explosive risk, where methane gas mixtures may be present. The starter is used in AC 50Hz power supply systems with voltages up to 1140V and rated currents up to 400A, to control the starting, stopping, and reversing (during shutdown) of three‑phase AC asynchronous motors driving mining machinery and equipment. It enables control functions such as local control, remote control, and automatic drainage, while providing protection for the motors and supply circuits. When networked, it can be integrated into mine monitoring and control systems to achieve automated control of power supply equipment.
