Características y aplicaciones del producto

Screw lift, SWL series worm screw lift is a basic lifting component that complies with JB/T8809-2010 (formerly JB/T8809-1998, JB/ZQ4391-86) standards. Carrying capacity of 2.5-120T. It has the advantages of compact structure, small volume, light weight, wide power source, low noise, easy installation, flexible use, multiple functions, multiple supporting forms, high reliability, and long service life.

Screw Jack Selection Guide
Our company specializes in the production of heavy-duty worm gear screw jacks, with a maximum load of 500 tons. We take the lead in the industry in safety nut monitoring and high-precision customized solutions. We have long-term supporting cooperation with well-known enterprises such as CATL and BYD, providing professional calculation, model selection and multi-unit synchronous lifting system solutions for global customers.

1. Screw Type Classification

1.1 Trapezoidal Screw Jack

Advantages: Built-in mechanical self-locking function, low cost, strong impact resistance, suitable for low-speed and intermittent heavy-duty working conditions.
Disadvantages: Low transmission efficiency, not applicable for high-frequency continuous operation.
Application: Equipment leveling, heavy load support, lifting platforms, gate lifting, metallurgical equipment and conventional mechanical lifting scenarios.

1.2 Ball Screw Jack

Advantages: High transmission efficiency, fast lifting speed, high positioning accuracy, stable operation, ideal for high-frequency reciprocating motion.
Disadvantages: No self-locking function. A brake motor or independent brake device is mandatory for vertical load-bearing applications; higher manufacturing cost.
Application: Automated production equipment, servo synchronous lifting, precision positioning assembly lines and high-efficiency continuous operation scenarios.

2. Core Selection Parameters (Mandatory)

2.1 Load Capacity (Thrust / Tension)

Calculate the total load including workpiece weight, equipment self-weight and impact inertia force. Reasonable safety factor is the key to stable operation:
  • Conventional working condition: Safety factor ≥ 1.5
  • Impact & frequent start-stop working condition: Safety factor 1.8 - 2.5
  • High-risk load-bearing scenario: Safety factor ≥ 2.0
Note: The rated load of the screw jack is based on pure axial force. The allowable load will be reduced for horizontal or inclined installation. Lateral force is prohibited; external guiding devices are required to offset lateral force if necessary.

2.2 Lifting Stroke

The actual stroke = effective lifting height + 5-10mm safety margin at both ends to avoid mechanical collision. For long-stroke working conditions, the longer the screw extension length, the higher the risk of compression bar instability. It is necessary to check the stability of the screw rod, and increase the screw diameter or equip with external guide sleeves/guide columns if required.

2.3 Lifting Speed

Speed calculation formula: V(mm/min) = Motor speed × Screw lead / Reduction ratio
  • Trapezoidal screw: Recommended linear speed ≤ 2.5m/min, not suitable for high-speed operation
  • Ball screw: Support linear speed 5-10m/min for high-speed operation
Note: Higher speed leads to lower allowable continuous load and increased heat generation. Thermal power verification is required for long-time operation.

2.4 Reduction Ratio

Each model is equipped with two types of reduction ratios:
  • Large reduction ratio: High output torque, low speed, suitable for heavy-duty lifting
  • Small reduction ratio: Fast operating speed, low torque, suitable for light-load and high-efficiency scenarios

2.5 Duty Cycle

  • Intermittent short-time work: Adopt trapezoidal screw jack (conventional standard)
  • High-frequency continuous work: Prioritize ball screw jack, verify thermal power to prevent housing overheating and damage

3. Installation Methods

  • Base Mounting: Installed with bottom flange, screw extension lifting (the most widely used type)
  • Flange Mounting: Output through top flange, suitable for limited installation space
  • Trunnion Mounting: Articulated swing structure, applicable for tilting and flipping mechanisms
  • Nut Travel Type: Screw rod fixed without rotation, nut moves up and down to save installation space
Note: The load capacity varies with installation postures (vertical push/pull, horizontal push, inclined installation). Clear installation angle is required for accurate selection.

4. Optional Accessories & Functional Configurations

  • Safety Nut: Real-time wear monitoring and early warning, realizing safety protection for key equipment
  • Limit Switch: Upper and lower travel limit protection to avoid over-travel damage
  • Encoder / Potentiometer: Precise position feedback for closed-loop control and multi-unit synchronous operation
  • Protective Bellows: Dustproof and waterproof, suitable for harsh working environments
  • Driving Mode: Hand crank, ordinary motor, brake motor, servo motor, variable frequency motor
  • Multi-unit Synchronous System: Linked by transmission shaft to realize synchronous lifting of multiple jacks

5. Required Information for Model Selection

Please provide the following parameters for accurate quotation and selection:
  1. Required load capacity (Ton)
  2. Effective lifting stroke (mm)
  3. Required lifting speed (mm/min)
  4. Screw type: Trapezoidal screw / Ball screw
  5. Installation method & angle: Vertical / Horizontal / Inclined
  6. Working mode: Intermittent / Continuous operation
  7. Driving type: Handwheel / Ordinary motor / Servo motor / Brake motor
  8. Optional accessories: Limit switch / Safety nut / Encoder / Protective bellows
  9. Working environment: Indoor / Outdoor, dust, corrosion and other special conditions

6. Selection Precautions

  • Do not select models only by static rated load. Screw stability and thermal power under actual stroke must be verified.
  • Ball screw jack has no self-locking function. Brake motor is a must for vertical load-bearing applications to prevent falling.
  • Screw jacks are only applicable for pure axial force bearing. External guiding structure is required if lateral force exists.
  • For multi-jack linkage system, the linkage coefficient shall be considered, and the single jack load specification needs to be appropriately enlarged.
